Y7 Numeracy Active Cycle

Year 7 have been working hard in Numeracy to measure accurately using various instruments and convert lengths between metres, centimetres and millimetres using our key strategies.

For our Active Cycle, we each threw a bean bag up the hall and used a trundle wheel to measure how far it went before converting into cm and mm; we estimated the lengths of lines on the ground and used metres sticks to measure; we measured shorter lines using a 30cm ruler; we played various length converting games on WordWall on iPads.
