We were very fortunate this year to have been able to take part in a program run by Belfast Healthy Cities. We looked at our surrounding environment and talked about different positive and negative factors that affect our area. We were given some money to use towards something that would make our school environment a more positive and beneficial place to spend time. We came up with lots of great suggestions but we had to narrow our choices down. After lengthy discussions we decided that we would love to have more trees and greenery in our playground. We also had a little money to buy some more playground equipment too! We learnt so much about how important it is to think about how parts of our city is used and looked after.
