Year 5 had a fantastic visit from the team at Knock Fire Station, who delivered an engaging and informative fire safety talk. The children learned all about the dangers of fire in the home, how to reduce risks, and the important steps they can take to keep themselves and their families safe. The session encouraged pupils to take responsibility and share this vital knowledge with others.
The morning was made even more exciting when Mr. Kinnier took on the challenge of getting into full firefighter protective clothing (known as turnout gear) against the clock—just like real firefighters, who aim to be ready in around one to two minutes! The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we are very grateful to the team for taking the time to visit us. 🚒
