The sun was shining for Year 1 today!☀️🍃🌳 We had a fantastic day outside. We started the day with a range of Numeracy and Literacy activities linked to our topic of Spring and Farm, including a word hunt, topic books, word building, balancing scales with vegetables, making money amounts in the farm shop and counting using natural materials. After all that busy work we then had pancakes for our snack - yummy!😋 Afterwards we played in the garden. 🌳We cleaned animals at the water tray, played small world farm, built different homes for animals and had lots of fun on the equipment! In the afternoon we had a science experiment👨🏼🔬👩🏻🔬🧪 We conducted a ‘Floating Eggs’ and ‘Floating Fruit’ experiment. Finally, we sang ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’ with Makaton actions. 🐄🐷🐣 Another successful and fun-filled day of learning outdoors!😄🍃
